Adoptive
Parents Enjoy Privileges
In
return for the support Adoptive Parents give to their sheep, John and Anne Kissane open up their farm for them. They
gladly invite Adoptive Parents to visit the farm and grant them the following privileges: (Other visitors pay
an entrance fee.)
- Meet
the mountain sheep in their natural
environment and have a cup of tea at
the farm

Sheepdog
demonstration
- Sheep
shearing demonstration
- Cuddle
and bottle feed orphaned lambs
- Make
one of the three marked walks over
the farm land:
- Picnic
Walk (½ hour) to Picnic Area with magnificent views of the Black Valley and the Macgillycuddy's
Reeks with Carrauntoohill, Ireland's
highest mountain.
- Moll's
Gap walk (1½ hours), passing the Picnic Area and going along the Owenreagh River and unique
bogland area known as Eirk bog
- Mountain
walk (2 hours) to loch Eirk,
a fresh water lake up in the
mountains where you can enjoy
the silence and beauty of the
surroundings with views of the
Kenmare Bay.
- Receive

on our farm.
